Introducing our new US stockist - Crowning Glory

I hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend... I have spent the last few days speaking with the lovely Karen from Crowning Glory, a fabulous bridal accessory boutique in Michigan, USA and am delighted to say that Karen will now be stocking a range of Jo Barnes headdresses!! Crowning Glory will be our first US Stockist which is just so exciting...

Karen Sherman, owner of Crowning Glory Bridal, continues the legacy of her mother’s career in the bridal industry. After studying art and business at Schoolcraft Community College, Karen chose to combine careers in travel and figure skating.

Each Crowning Glory Bride is treated to a memorable bridal experience from the moment she steps through the doors., each appointment with the bride is private so they have the whole shop to themselves which I might add is beautifully decorated, Karen has spent a lot of time in England and has styled the shop on our tea rooms.

Karen asks her brides to bring along a picture of their gown and offers them her expert advice on choosing the perfect accessories to compliment it.

Here's what Crowning Glory brides say:

Karen was absolutely amazing to work with. Her boutique is like a girl’s wedding day dream with all the glitz and glamour you could possibly ask for… I even bought my mom a bracelet that she had been eyeing every time we were there. And it looked stunning when it came in!Now that I am married I still admire all my jewelry from my wedding. You can get all the bridal accessories you’ve ever dreamed of through Karen. You are the only priority every time you see her. Thank you Karen!Christina

Karen,Thank you so much for all of your help today! Your boutique and jewelry are amazing! I cannot wait to see how it all comes together with my dress! Thanks again!Andrea C.

Karen,A BIG thank you for all your help in selecting the most gorgeous accessories for my wedding. The entire experience from start to finish was incredible. I live in Chicago and we had been selecting details via e-mail. You could not have done a better job at putting me at ease. Once I received the pieces, I could not have been more thrilled! You were a true pleasure to work with. I now know where to go for all my accessory needs. Thanks again!!Micaela D.

“Awesome! I had such a great time. I’ve never seen accessories like this before. I loved sitting in front of the mirror in what looks like a little tea room while Karen showed me different combinations of headpieces, veils and jewelry. My mom and I didn’t know what to do…they were all amazing and I had a hard time choosing. But with Karen’s expert and reassuring advice, I know that I picked the perfect accessories for my wedding. I’m so excited and I’d encourage all brides to see Karen at Crowning Glory. You won’t be disappointed!”Jennifer W.

A monsoon bride wearing our Frankie...

I hope everyone is having a lovely lazy Sunday!! Not much else to do but laze about with the weather so evil!! So Ive been looking through all my lovely brides pictures and wanted to share these pictures that were emailed to me a few days back of our Frankie headdress.

"Hi Jo, I bought a one of your head pieces and a vintage necklace for my wedding and I just thought I would share some of the pictures. I was so happy with them on the day, I think they looked wonderful and everyone commented on how pretty they were. Thank you for helping to make my wedding special"

These are the first lot of pictures we have had back from a bride wearing our Frankie headdress!! Yipeeeee...

Hannah wore Frankie along with an original vintage necklace (which she also purchased from Jo Barnes) with a Monsoon dress called Victoria, a beautiful simple dress which she jazzed up with a fabulous beaded cape from John Lewis, she looked gorgeous and Frankie looked wonderful with her super short hairstyle.

Hannah married Steven on 7 April 2012 at Moss Lodge in Rochdale which they highly recommend, Hannah said it was an amazing venue.

I can assure you, you will have lots of fun choosing your wedding gown with these girls... I cannot thank them enough for loaning me 5 beautiful gowns for the shoot.

An Alan Hannah bride in JB original vintage...

Sat dreaming about my trip to Thailand in 8 days (whoop whoop) thinking I really should get on with some work, so next on my gigantic list of jobs to do is to blog about these beautiful images that were emailed across to me yesterday evening of the lovely Hannah, who wore an original Jo Barnes creation.

Hannah married Stephen "The kilt wearer" on 17 December 2011 at South Farm, Shingay-Cum-Wendy!! Hehe couldnt help but giggle at that!!! Her stunning 1950s inspired dress was called "Eren" by Alan Hannah. This was Hannah's second dress choice as the dress designer of the first dress could no longer get hold of the fabric anymore!! Although probably a little upsetting at the time it was obviously meant to be as Hannah looked absolutely beautiful in her Eren dress!!!

The snaps were captured by Milkbottle Photogrpahy "Totally great guys if ever you meet a bride getting married in the South East who needs someone"

I was a little cheeky and asked Hannah if Stephen was wearing any panties!!! His reply "Tell her a true Scotsman never tells"

Hannah was an absolute dream to work with and I have enjoyed the emails we have shared, I hope you enjoy these few shots.....

And a saucy one to finish with!!!

Thanks so so much for sharing these wonderful images Hannah and I wish you and your new hubster Stephen a long and happy life together and i'm sure with your sense of humours it will be just that!!!!

Tonnes of love
